On the heels of a successful launch of the Seneca College P&C program, Seneca announces a special offer to the industry in return for a donation, receive education and access to resources. Funds raised will be used to fund expansion of the program.
Seneca College’s recent launch of its 14 week P&C program is a huge success. “We had to cap it.” says Sam Albanese, Insurance Industry Director for Seneca College. This semester we will graduate 24 students (9 RIBO/ 15 OTL). Along with their P&C license the students will earn up to 2 credits towards the CIP and 2 credits towards their CAIB designation.
The goal of the program is to get some ‘new blood’ into the industry because of the aging workforce. “The ideal students is someone who is over 30 years old and has work experience”, says Sam Albanese.
Seneca College recognizes that there are many P&C offices that would like to hire a new producer but lack the time, money and expertise. For this reason the College has arranged the following special offer.
For a tax deductible, $5,000 contribution, the agency will be able to:
- Enroll one student into the program a value of $2,500
- Have first access to graduates
- Have first access to co-op candidates
The money raised through this special offer will be used to expand the program throughout Ontario.
