WATERLOO, ON, Sept. 8 2009 – Manulife Financial’s Canadian Individual Wealth Management Operations has been recognized by the National Quality Institute (NQI) for outstanding achievement in Quality.
“Achieving gold recognition could not have been possible without the entire Operations team dedicating themselves to the successful pursuit of Level Four Certification, the highest achievement under NQI’s Progressive Excellence Program,” said Guy Vaillant, Vice President Operations, Individual Wealth Management, Manulife Financial. “It’s a wonderful accomplishment.”
The award acknowledges excellence in multiple categories, including Customer, People, Process management, Partnerships, Responsibility to society, and Owner/shareholder. The award follows a submission from Manulife, plus on-site verification by NQI staff who examined various business and customer service processes.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the National Quality Institute’s Canada Awards for Excellence. Manulife will receive the prestigious gold award for Quality at an annual gala dinner to be held October 22, 2009 in Toronto.
“Earning this honour further demonstrates our commitment to always raising the bar when it comes to our leadership principles and management practices,” added Mr. Vaillant. “A tremendous amount of hard work got us to this point and we will continue on this path to offer excellent customer service and keep a healthy and positive work environment.”
The Canada Awards for Excellence has been presented annually since 1984 to recognize business excellence in quality, customer service, and a healthy workplace to organizations that display outstanding performance in the areas of Quality and Healthy Workplace(R).
