Global insurance broker expects new system will enhance client servicing and efficiency

University Park, Illinois – August 13, 2009 Applied Systems Inc. today announced that Willis Group Holdings, a leading global insurance broker, has agreed to adopt the Applied Systems Epic™ agency management solution as its primary technology platform in North America for managing client transactions and servicing.

Willis last year expanded its North American footprint from 70 to more than 200 locations when it acquired broker Hilb Rogal & Hobbs (HRH). As part of its integration efforts, the North American business, now known as Willis HRH, will unite all offices on the Epic platform to replace various legacy systems.

Vic Krauze, chief operating officer of Willis HRH, said the company selected Epic after an extensive due diligence process. We look forward to working with Applied Systems on a successful deployment of Epic and to realizing the full efficiency, cost savings and client servicing benefits of the new system, Krauze said.

“A number of Willis HRH professionals currently use Applied Systems TAM and Vision, among other systems, and were eager to work with the company to unite all users on the Epic platform,” said James P. Kellner, Applied Systems chairman and CEO. “We devoted four years to developing Epic for the future of agency and broker management, and were delighted this respected and progressive organization has chosen Epic to meet its business needs.”

Epic boasts high-performance architecture designed to support insurance organizations of any size and complexity level. The system is built to deliver necessary functionality, sustain unlimited numbers of system users and facilitate integration with other technologies.
