August 10, 2009 – Calgary, Alberta – Policy Works Inc. is proud to announce the release of the newest version of Policy Works, its industry leading Commercial Management System (CMS). The focus of this release is improving the workflow for brokers using Policy Works� eMarketing to exchange data electronically with participating carriers.
The standout feature in this release is single sign-on functionality with participating Certified Data Exchange Partners (CDEP) insurer portals. When Policy Works users click the ‘Portal’ button on the main toolbar, a drop-down menu appears with all of Policy Works� CDEP partners. One click on a partner brings the user directly into the insurer’s portal landing page, by-passing the login prompt by securely signing-in the user.
“The uploading of submissions and downloading of quotations is the primary reason we developed our single sign-on functionality,” explains Kevin Campbell, President of Policy Works. “But it�s not only for uploading or downloading. Our single sign-on is being used by Policy Works customers to gain access to their insurers� portals to do things like billing, claims and policy enquiry. Really, the single sign-on functionality is helping our customers beyond data exchange.”
The 2009.1 release also brings three new Certified Data Exchange Partners (CDEP) to the fold: The Economical Insurance Group (TEIG), its subsidiary La compagnie d’assurance Missisquoi, and L�Unique assurances g�n�rales inc.. The integration of TEIG�s brokerEXPRESS® quoting site with Policy Works will provide TEIG�s brokers with round-trip data exchange capability. TEIG brokers will be able to upload commercial lines risk and rating detail directly from Policy Works into brokerEXPRESS®, and download quotations back into Policy Works. L�Unique customers will be able to upload commercial submissions to a dedicated quoting website.
