March, 2009 – OSFI is in the process of improving the way it receives information from Financial Institutions (FIs) in Canada. It has implemented a process that will enable FIs to upload the OSFI-57 and OSFI-513 and their amendments to a secure web portal in lieu of sending electronic media through the mail or courier. This change comes into effect immediately.
The site was ready to accept files back on February 23, 2009, for those that may have already started using the system to upload their corporate returns. OSFI is confident that this will improve the efficiency of collecting corporate information and facilitate the process for FIs. A unique user ID and password are required to use this web portal.
The ADT user guide, may be downloaded from OSFIs Website at www.osfi-bsif.gc.ca under Filing Instructions, Returns and Penalties. The letter may be downloaded under Corporate Returns.
The User Guide contains mandatory file naming conventions for returns which can be found in Appendix 1 under Corporate Returns file name.
OSFI is an independent agency of the Government of Canada. It reports to the Minister of Finance. For more information visit www.osfi-bsif.gc.ca.
