QUEBEC CITY, Nov. 5 2008 – La Capitale General Insurance is proud to announce its large-scale participation in the snowmobile sector of Quebec. Beginning in mid-December, La Capitale will be the official presenter of snowmobile trail conditions on The Weather Network in collaboration with the Quebec Snowmobilers Association (AdmdQ), the Casino de Charlevoix and DataDot Technology Canada. With more than 10 presentations per day on The Weather Network, La Capitale is clearly identifying with the distinctly Quebec pastime of snowmobiling. The trail conditions will also be available on different websites such as the AdmdQ’s at (www.admdq.org); those of the web magazines Motoneiges.ca (www.motoneiges.ca) and SledMagazine.com (www.sledmagazine.com); and that of the Communaut des motoneigistes internautes du Qubec (www.motoneigeauquebec.com). Also on these sites, snowmobilers will have direct access to all Quebec tourism associations, the road condition reports of the Ministre des Transports and the current and forecasted weather reports. The purpose is to inform snowmobilers as much as possible about the region they are riding in.
As a property and casualty insurer, La Capitale will invest tens of thousands of dollars to report on trail conditions with the clear goal of PROMOTING SAFETY! Another objective is to publicize this motorized sport that is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of Quebec residents and many visitors from around the world who come to practise snowmobiling. Together with several prominent partners, La Capitale will encourage the development of snowmobiling in Quebec by maintaining good relations with all parties involved in this sector. After all, they are the heart of the snowmobile industry through their dedication to this sport that originated here in Quebec.
In 2006, La Capitale became the first direct insurer to market a complete plan for motorcycle, snowmobile, ATV, boat, travel trailer and motorhome owners: RV Solutions Insurance. With this plan, La Capitale broke new ground by offering all types of insurance for RVs, without requiring home insurance or automobile insurance on the principal vehicle. After identifying many glaring needs in this market, La Capitale carried on the momentum by getting involved on other levels. Furthermore, this investment is just the beginning of a series that that will be undertaken soon.
