The Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CCEP) in partnership with Diversified Business Communications Canada is proud to present the 18th World Conference on Disaster Management (WCDM) in Toronto, Canada from June 15-18, 2008 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre

WCDM is the pre-eminent conference of its kind. WCDM provides you with a unique venue to network with Senior Level Professionals from around the world with areas of interest covering Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Response, Security and Risk Management.

The theme of this years conference is Resiliency – Individual, Community and Business. Come and learn from the best as to how you, your organization and your community can become more resilient to defend against the many threats we are exposed to in this increasingly complex world.

The 2008 Program is our best yet with over 85 workshops, plenary and concurrent sessions, providing you with the opportunity to hear from Disaster Management experts from around the world. To view the Conference at a Glance, click here or visit www.wcdm.org

The 18th WCDM also offers our newly expanded tradeshow floor. We have extended the tradeshow hours to allow you to have more opportunity to network with over 120 organizations who provide the products and services that will help us mitigate, prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters. The Green Meeting strategy that was so well received last year will be continued as part of our contribution to the efforts to tackle the impact of climate change.

At CCEP, we aim to reflect the interests and concerns of disaster management professionals around the world and to be a conduit between the disaster management community and the public and private sectors. Whether through the pages of our magazine, the WCDM, or our day-to-day activities, we strive to successfully fulfill this role.

We hope to see you at the 18th WCDM and look forward to providing you with the environment to exchange ideas with your peers in other Disaster Management disciplines.
