Habitat for Humanity Canada Has a New Partner in First Canadian Title

Oakville Company Committed to Donate Over $80,000 in 2007

April 23, 2007 – Oakville, ON � Habitat for Humanity Canada announced today that they are excited to enter a new corporate partnership with First Canadian Title, who held a launch event this morning at their Home Office in Oakville.

Local Oakville Councilor Keith Bird, Oakville Liberal MPP Kevin Flynn, and representatives from Habitat for Humanity Canada and First Canadian Title were on-hand today to announce this new partnership, which includes a commitment to assist in ten home builds across Canada in 2007, a cash donation and in-kind support of title insuring Habitat homes built in Canada this year.

�We are always excited when Canadian companies step up and show their support, not only through monetary donations, but through their time,� said David Hughes, President and Chief Executive Officer, Habitat for Humanity Canada. �First Canadian Title wanted the bulk of their support to be in helping to build the homes through our national �Adopt a Day� program. Their employees have shown a strong a desire to commit their time to the cause, and that speaks volumes.�

First Canadian Title will begin building homes with Habitat for Humanity in May, sending close to 33 employees per site to build in 2007. The plan is to develop the partnership into a multi-year commitment, helping Habitat for Humanity achieve their goal of 500 homes per year by 2010.
