(Boston, MA. January 17, 2007) DALBAR today released the 2006 winners of its annual Customer Service Awards. For more than a decade, DALBAR has conducted rigorous testing of service delivery and, each year, identifies those mutual fund, broker/dealer, annuity, life insurance and retirement plan providers that are able to deliver industry-leading service to its customers.
The winners are made up of long-term industry leaders that, over the years have been joined by other service oriented financial companies. Putnam Investments, with 15 years of award winning service and The Hartford, with 11 years of award winning service are veterans in leading the financial services industry in the quality of service to their customers.
Alongside Putnam Investments and Hartford Life, Evergreen Investments and Seligman Funds are also industry leaders with 9 plus years of consecutive award winning service. Over the last seven years, this elite group was joined by AEGON/Transamerica, BlackRock, Equitable EQUI-VEST, Genworth Financial, Goldman Sachs, Guardian Insurance & Annuity Co., Guardian Investor Services, The Individual Life Division of the Hartford, The Hartford Mutual Funds, JPMorgan Funds, New York Life-MainStay Annuities, New York Life, Pacific Life, PLANCO, Primerica, Prudential Financial, RiverSource, RS Investments, Sun Life Financial, Transamerica/IDEX, and Transamerica Capital.
“The level of performance achieved by these companies sets extremely high standards for competitors and in doing so improves the service levels to customers across the industry as a whole,” said Csilla von Csiky, Managing Director at DALBAR.
The service awards are based on systematic testing of customer service over the year. DALBAR conducts thousands of tests to measure how financial companies respond to the needs for service from their customers.
