Accessing New Markets and Distribution
Ottawa, Ontario, May 10, 2006 – The Principal Financial Group (The Principal) implemented a sales and service automation solution from Global IQX with the goals of accessing small case markets, increasing general agent quoting activity and improving agent/broker productivity and loyalty. In the first six months following implementation of the solution quoting activity increased 10% — which grew to 30% in the period from November 2004 – November 2005. The solution from Global IQX was implemented in under six months and did not require The Principal to re-engineer or re-architect its existing system.
In his presentation to delegates at the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum to be held May 22 – 24, 2006 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Charles Weisbecker, vice president, Business Development for the Principal Financial Group will discuss how his organization leveraged new business opportunities by implementing the Global IQX solution which made it easier for general agents and other external distribution channels to do business with them. The result is an improved competitive position and a strengthened value proposition. Mr. Weisbecker will present on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 from 2:15 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
