Ontario’s WSIB Adds Crawford Canada to Vendor List of Labour Market Re-Entry Service Providers

February 23, 2006 TORONTO – Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) has added Crawford Healthcare Management, Inc. to its vendor list of Labour Market Re-Entry (LMR) service providers in eight Ontario cities.

“We are very pleased with this announcement, and look forward to expanding our relationship with the WSIB,” said John Sharoun, chief executive officer of Crawford in Canada.

This appointment follows a rigorous RFP and interviewing process that commenced in late 2005. The three-year contract expands the number of cities Crawford services from four to eight and reduces the total number of providers on the various panels by approximately one-third. As a result of the growth in this program, Jaqueline Roy, vice president of Crawford Healthcare Management has appointed Jan Brooks as Crawford’s WSIB account manager. Brooks has more than 16 years of experience and will be responsible for all aspects of this program.

“Quality assurance is a key component in the success of this program, with the focus on servicing the clients of WSIB and we intend to meet those standards,” said Roy.

As an LMR service provider, Crawford will be working with injured workers that are unable to return to their previous employer and helping them assess their experience, skills and abilities to develop a plan proposal for their return to work.
