Farmers Mutual of Nebraska selects Symbility Solutions as mobile, on-site claims software provider
WATERLOO, Ontario, Feb. 21 2006 — Symbility Solutions Inc. (www.symbilitysolutions.com), a wholly owned subsidiary of Automated Benefits Corp. (TSX VENTURE: AUT) is pleased to announce that it has signed a 5 year contract with Farmers Mutual of Nebraska to provide the company with its industry leading mobile claims processing software replacing a competing software vendor.
Farmers Mutual of Nebraska joins the growing list of companies, in the United States, using Symbility and is the first major U.S. insurance company to deploy Symbility’s software for its claims processing solution. Farmers Mutual of Nebraska is now rolling out Symbility’s software platform companywide for use by all of its claims adjusters in the field.
“We believe Symbility’s software will be a very useful tool to help increase our adjusters’ efficiency and enhance our ability to continue providing excellent customer service. Our adjusters are able to produce comprehensive, detailed estimates on site and avoid duplication of entry when scoping losses. The flexibility and accuracy of the software is impressive and our adjusters find it user-friendly. We have found the people at Symbility good to work with and willing to provide what works best for our needs” states John Fenton, vice president of claims for Farmers Mutual of Nebraska.
“I am very pleased to welcome Farmers Mutual of Nebraska to our growing customer list and we are excited about the opportunity to bring our mobile claims estimating solutions into the mid-west United States insurance market,” states James Swayze, chief executive officer of Symbility. “Farmers Mutual of Nebraska demonstrates they are a progressive company by embracing our wireless, pen-based application and their policyholders have witnessed the benefits of on-site settlement through the pilot process. We are confident that many more of our U.S. pilot programs will also conclude successfully following Farmers Mutual of Nebraska’s leadership just as we saw in the Canadian market with Allstate, Economical and Gore Mutual.”
Available for tablet and pocket PCs with integrated Bluetooth(R), Wi-Fi and GPRS/1X wireless technology, the Symbility Solutions system allows adjusters and contractors to write estimates and process claims on-site with greater accuracy and to settle claims more quickly. Symbility’s solution is a software service model that is web-based and unlike most enterprise level software, it is not licensed, not copy-protected and has no restrictions on where claims adjusters can install it and use it. Users pay a per claim fee for using the software.
