Royal & SunAlliance launch WARP® Data Bridging making it easier for brokers to use WebBusiness™

January 30, 2006 – Royal & SunAlliance is making it easier for brokers across the country to process auto and property policies by launching WARP® Data Bridging. This new functionality is now available to Royal & SunAlliance and Western Assurance brokers using the latest version of The Agency Manager® (TAM) broker management system.

WARP® Data Bridging automates much of the keying required to issue personal auto and property policies on WebBusiness ™, Royal & SunAlliances web-based policy transactional tool. The tool was named a finalist this year in both the Canadian Information Productivity Awards and A.M. Bests E-Fusion awards. The addition of WARP® Data Bridging is the latest in a series of initiatives known as the WebBusiness TM Simplicity Project, making it even easier for brokers to do business with Royal & SunAlliance. This investment in technology further demonstrates the insurer’s commitment to its broker partners.

Brokers from all regions of the country who have been testing WARP ® Data Bridging during the pilot period confirmed it saves them a significant amount of time when issuing new policies.

We believe that WARP ® Data Bridging will have a huge impact for our broker partners by reducing duplicate entry and making the process of issuing new business much more efficient. This leaves brokers with more time to spend offering their clients valuable advice and finding insurance products to meet their needs, says Shawn DeSantis, Vice President of Personal Insurance at Royal & SunAlliance.

We are excited to be working with Royal & SunAlliance by extending the WARP technology to our brokers and the Canadian insurance community. This is an ongoing focus for us, to bring increased value to the insurance transaction by increasing the speed of the transaction and reducing the cost of the transaction. We support the broker distribution channel with new methods of communication with their trading partners, says Greg Purdy, CEO Applied Systems Canada Inc.
