Insurance firm selects Whitehill xml-Transport for data transformation and distribution
MONCTON, NB, Canada � June 28, 2005 � Whitehill Technologies Inc., a leading provider of document composition and data transformation software, today announced that Assumption Life, a mutual life insurance company, is using Whitehill xml-Transport for legacy extension, data transformation and distribution.
Assumption Life recently decided to upgrade its back office systems, a transition that would require moving all data from a mainframe to a client server environment. Because Assumption Life was dealing with multiple entry and exit points in its data transformation requirements, Whitehill xml-Transport was evaluated as the best available solution on the market.
Whitehill xml-Transport is a software solution designed for the conversion, enhancement and distribution of data. The Whitehill xml-Transport process converts structured and unstructured data to XML. The generated XML can automatically be rendered to various output formats, such as PDF, TIFF, PostScript, HTML, RTF, and then intelligently routed across multiple distribution channels.

Assumption Life’s first implementation of Whitehill xml-Transport was to enable creation of multiple check output formats with multiple distribution channels from a variety of Line-Of-Business systems. This was part of their Centralized Disbursement System developed in-house with .NET Technologies.
Since then, Assumption Life has incorporated Whitehill xml-Transport into their Financial Services Trade Ticket Reconciliation System also developed in .NET. Assumption Life’s new Group Insurance Administration & Claims System also encompasses Whitehill xml-Transport for several of the automated report/document requirements. Efforts are currently
underway to convert legacy system output formats to Whitehill xml-Transport from their Individual Insurance Systems.
Assumption Life is and will continue to maximize its usage of the Whitehill xml-Transport technologies in all of their current and future projects.
