New Express Edition; updated 3rd party support; performance optimization
Orlando, Florida, May 23, 2005 (ACORD/LOMA Insurance Systems Forum) – InSystems, the specialist in complex document and compliance automation for insurance and financial services organizations announces the availability of InSystems Calligo Doc Services 3.1.
InSystems Calligo Doc Services provides a set of integrated services that have been specifically engineered to automate document-intensive business processes. InSystems Calligo Doc Services is used to satisfy event-driven requests, such as new policy fulfillment requests, which trigger a range of activities. This could include automatically retrieving documents from multiple sources (file systems, the web, or InSystems Calligo Document Management System); assembling personalized, complex documents and document packages such as policies, letters, contracts and booklets; rendering them in multiple file formats (Microsoft Word, PDF, PCL, HTML, TIFF and Postscript); and delivering them to multiple recipients via their preferred channels (print & mail, fax, email, the web).
Key features in InSystems Calligo Doc Services 3.1 include:
-
Reduced footprint deployment option allows the software to run on a single Windows server and utilize open source technology including Apache Tomcat and OpenJMS for messaging and queuing. Additional worker machines can be added later to support growth in customer volumes.
-
Updated 3rd party platform support provides support for additional operating systems and application platforms including Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP SP2, IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.1.and IBM WebSphere MQ 5.3. These additions support current and projected customer environments.
-
Additional modular services provide new document processing capabilities.
-
Performance optimization various improvements to the underlying system architecture as well as the ability to leverage a RAM Drive as an optional deployment configuration to further boost performance.
The solution is now offered in two editions: InSystems Calligo Doc Services and the new InSystems Calligo Doc Services Express.
InSystems Calligo Doc Services Express provides a core subset of InSystems Calligo Doc Services functionality and is targeted for companies with lower volumes and common business requirements. InSystems Calligo Doc Services Express is ideal for customers who do not currently have complex multi-channel delivery requirements, but who value the ability to easily add on such advanced capabilities in future.
“Emerging drivers like compliance, straight-through processing initiatives, and rising expectations with regard to personalization, ease of use, attractiveness, and level of detail will lead many users to put more resources into Document Automation efforts. The increasing need to support multiple delivery channels effectively means that existing solutions will often prove inadequate,” according to Jeffrey Mann, Vice President, High Performance Workplace, Gartner. “Documents, both on and off-line, remain the most frequent communication medium with customers. These documents are at the heart of most critical business decisions and processes. Organizations that address document automation strategically are likely to realize important benefits beyond the expected time and cost savings.”
“A growing number of major insurance companies are relying on InSystems Calligo Doc Services to reduce document fulfillment costs, deliver high volume, highly personalized complex documents based on customer preferences, better leverage and integrate disparate information assets across the enterprise, and ensure compliance, said Neil Betteridge, Director of Marketing, InSystems. With InSystems Calligo Doc Services 3.1, InSystems is pleased to be delivering significant enhancements that provide additional value to these customers, while also making InSystems Calligo Doc Services easier and more cost effective to implement for a broader range of insurers.”
