CLIEDIS is hosting a one day Data Modeling Training Programme on May 6, 2005 in downtown Toronto. The course will provide an overview of ACORD’s XML for Life data standard, providing attendees with both an understanding of the data structure (XML for Life) and the transaction layer (TXLife). Topics with include how to handle various types of insurance, investment contracts, financial activities, new business features, producer management and more.
The course is being taught by Tana Sabatino, President, Vallue Consulting. Tana Sabatino formerly headed up ACORD’s standards efforts and was instrumental in much of the success ACORD has had in meeting the challenges of a continuously changing industry including introducing ACORD’s life standards program and steering ACORD’s XML development efforts. Tana Sabatino has extensive experience working with insurance models and applications, the ACORD standards, and XML technologies. She has trained over 1000 people on ACORD and XML standards and has mapped hundreds of different systems to the ACORD standards.
The cost for CLIEDIS members is $445 (+GST) for the first participant, $395 (+GST) for additional registrants and $845 (+GST)for non-CLIEDIS members. As with all CLIEDIS sponsored courses, non-members who join within 60 days of the course will receive a credit of $400 on their 2005-2006 membership dues.
