Version 5.0 Introduces Powerful Intelligent HubFunctionality

Atlanta, GA � May 19, 2004 – DWL, the leading provider of Customer Data Integration (CDI) solutions, today announced the release of DWL Customer” version 5.0. A market leading CDI solution that is based on a service-oriented architecture, DWL Customer™ is being used by some of the world’s largest companies to serve as their enterprise system of record for all customer-related information and transactions. The latest release of DWL Customer™, version 5.0, represents a significant step forward for CDI solutions with added functionality to enhance its ability to operate as an ‘active and intelligent’ operational system.

DWL Customer™ 5.0 introduces advanced event management functionality. The Event Manager is responsible for defining and detecting customer events. Specific actions may be taken once an event is detected, for example, sending specific notification messages and unique message content. This enables DWL Customer™ to operate as an intelligent operational system that communicates relevant events that may represent sales opportunities or important customer relationship events. Organizations are then able to respond to those events more quickly and capitalize on that operational intelligence in real-time.

DWL Customer™ 5.0 has also introduced advanced functionality in the area of managing the complete customer relationship profile. This release includes enhancements to grouping, which allows organizations to define customer groups and manage individual parties relationship to the group. Grouping enables organizations to improve customer services and sales processes based on more complete relationship information (e.g., service differentiation based on household relationships and overall household value, or campaigns based on customer groups). In addition, Version 5.0 introduces enhancements to hierarchy relationship management. This enables organizations to maintain full hierarchy relationships for parties, such as relationships between global headquarters, country headquarters and the various subsidiaries of the organization. Hierarchy management improves customer service processes by providing all channels and back office systems with a complete and detailed understanding of the organizational relationship.

Enhancements to the external data validation engine within DWL Customer™ 5.0 enable conditional data validation rules, as well as validation of code table values, which further enhances its ability to deliver intelligence within operational transactions. Version 5.0 also contains major enhancements around maintaining billing information for customers as well as enhanced campaign services to maintain campaign information for party groups. This enables organizations to operationalize campaign information to improve sales response rates.

DWL Customer™ 5.0 contains a web services interface for its business services, enabling DWL Customer™ to integrate with web services applications. DWL Customer™ web services interface has been integrated with a .NET application in the DWL R&D lab.
