Foresters Licenses CSC’s Insurance New Business Software

Expanded Rollout Marks First Use of nbAccelerator in Canadian Market

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 26, 2004 — Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Foresters, a Toronto-based North American financial services organization, has licensed nbAccelerator (nbA), CSC’s new business risk assessment and process management software. Foresters, which is the first Canadian company to license nbA, will use the system to streamline its new business operations.

nbAccelerator automates application submission, underwriting management, workflow and productivity reporting, and policy issue processing for life insurance and annuities. By eliminating processing steps, reducing handoffs and automating tasks, nbA decreases the cost of issuing life and annuity contracts while increasing productivity.

“CSC’s nbA fits well with Foresters’ current five-year program aimed at rebuilding our business architecture by introducing new technologies and simplifying systems integration,” said George Mohacsi, senior vice president, Operations & Technology at Foresters. “When we saw nbA’s capabilities, we were impressed by how CSC’s new business automation and workflow tools fit our own view of how we want to process our business.”

“Since the early 1980s, we have delivered solid business value to Foresters,” said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Health Division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “Now our innovative nbA software will deliver rapid results while advancing Foresters’ vision and long-term strategy.”
