According to a survey of Internet users from The Customer Respect Group, over 26% of respondents say they if they are not happy with a site�s privacy policy, they will leave that site.

Furthermore, over 22% of respondents say that if they do not find a privacy policy on a company�s site, they will not provide that company with any personal information. Only 4% of respondents claimed to not look at a site�s privacy policy.
Meanwhile, the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania finds that not even 50% of at-home Net users think privacy policies are easy to understand.
