Progressive Speeds Customer Service Activities in AMS Agency Management Systems

MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio January 15, 2004 Progressive has implemented new technology that allows users of AMS agency management systems to access Progressive policy information faster and more easily through the Companys agency-dedicated Web site, ForAgentsOnly.com (FAO). A simple drop-down box allows agents to choose the type of policy change they want to make and seamlessly jump to the appropriate FAO policy page.

This feature allows agents to complete transactions from their agency management systems without logging on, entering policy numbers and navigating through FAO on a separate browser, said Chris Garson, Progressives agency business IT director. Agencies can now offer faster service to customers while improving their workflow. Were pleased to help them save time when responding to inquiries and building greater rapport with their clients.

The enhanced experience is available through AfW, Sagitta and Prime systems, which are used by nearly 40 percent of agencies that rely on agency management systems. Agents and brokers simply acquire customer policy information in their management system, select the TransactNOW option and choose the type of policy modification from changing addresses to adding drivers. Users then are transferred to the FAO policy page to complete the endorsement no login or password data is required.

Garson said: As the largest writer of auto insurance through independent insurance agencies, our goal is to make selling and servicing Progressive policies as easy as possible. This functionality is another example of our commitment to agencies.

The Progressive group of insurance companies, in business since 1937, comprises the nations third-largest auto insurance group. The more than 30,000 independent agencies that represent Progressive combine the power of personalized service and counsel with Progressives trusted brand, superior 24/7 service, innovative technology and competitive rates. Authorized agents and brokers can logon to Progressives agency-dedicated Web site, ForAgentsOnly.com (FAO) to access customer policies, process policy transactions, get state and countrywide news, and use other interactive features.
