DWL Makes List of Canada’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies For Second Year

DWL, Named to 2003 Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50, Continues to Lead in Emerging Tech Space

Toronto, Canada August 13, 2003 DWL, the leader in Enterprise Business Services software, today announced it has been named to the 2003 Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 ranking for a second year in a row. The ranking follows a recent third place ranking in Canadian business magazine, Profit, which publishes an annual ranking of the fastest growing companies in Canada.

DWL credits its success with a leadership position in customer data integration (CDI), a technology space that is gaining more attention with companies who continue to struggle with poor data quality and unavailable data due to multiple, fragmented technology systems.

“DWL will continue to see positive growth because were helping companies adapt their existing legacy technology to satisfy increasingly complex customer, product and distribution channels, said John Baumstark, president and CEO, DWL. Companies with particularly complex back-end systems see the value of an infrastructure that allows them to leverage those systems in the
strategic sharing of information, such as real-time customer data.

DWL debuted DWL Unifi”, an application for real time business processing, in 1996. Since then DWL has focused development efforts on this and its most robust offering to date, DWL Customer”, an enterprise customer data hub for real-time customer management. Market leading research firms such as Giga Group and META Group recognize DWL as a leading customer data hub vendor, the newest breed of hybrid offerings which combine next generation operational data stores with business process and customer data management functionality.

“During the next 12-18 months, market-leading enterprises must be able to react intelligently and instantly to changing customer information via real-time customer data integration (CDI). CDI is quickly becoming a strategic technology in enterprise CRM projects. An ongoing requirement is for CDI solutions to provide high availability and extreme scalability for the Global 3000 size enterprises,” said Aaron Zornes, Senior VP, META Group.

The Deloitte & Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision and temerity to succeed despite a very challenging technology environment, said Gary Foster, National Director, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche. We applaud the successes of and acknowledge their place as one of the very few to accomplish such fast growth rate over the past five years.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companiesmust have had operating revenues of at least $75,000 CDN in 1998 and $1,000,000 CDN in 2002.
