iter8 Announces EDI Contract with Pembridge

March, 2003 (Toronto) iter8 Incorporated has been awarded a contract for an electronic data interchange project from Pembridge Insurance Company, one of the countrys leading property and casualty insurers.

Through its communic8 solution, iter8 will give Pembridge the ability to perform CSIO EDI download through one single application. communic8 is a server-based application with an interface to CSIOnet. Data to and from the interface is seamlessly transformed into a format that can be used by multiple line of business systems. The application can be maintained by Pembridge without reliance on iter8.

communic8 provides additional benefits, through the use of XML. It can call and format any source third party report data like Global API (GAPI) and provide CSIO portal connectivity, making it exceptional in the industry. For ease of maintenance, it automatically updates the policy management systems interface to accommodate external changes, such as the addition of new data elements or codes.

We are excited to move forward with iter8 on this advanced EDI download solution, says Ted Carter, VP of Information Technology, Pembridge. After an extensive search, we chose iter8 because it provides a cost effective, functional and proven EDI solution that benefits both us and our brokers.

Bob Tisdale, President and COO of Pembridge, agrees. Delivering value to our brokers is a guiding principle for our company. A focus on technology is one of our founding pillars, and this solution, enabling a seamless download of critical data across a variety of broker operating systems, is yet another example of how this remains an area of strength for us.

Our communic8 solution delivers EDI functionality on time, on scope and on budget, says Glen Piller, iter8s president and CEO. This will allow Pembridge to continue to deliver outstanding service to its broker force.

Piller notes that other insurance companies face similar situations in their EDI upload/download environment. Many insurers struggle with high transaction costs, complex mapping changes and delays in updates to CSIO standards, says Glen Piller, iter8s president and CEO. We offer a proven solution that can be implemented quickly.
