Canadians Can Bank Online

30 January 2003

According to NFO CFGroup, the number of Canadians with online banking accounts rose from 20% in 2000 to 31% in 2002. NF CFGroup surveyed 1,998 adults in October 2002 and found that 25% of respondents had actually made an online banking transaction in the past month — up from just 19% in 2001. This compares to the number of people who made a banking transaction on the telephone, which slid between 2001 and 2002 from 26% to 22%.
