Phase III to Provide Complex Transactional Capabilities
Markham, Ontario, November 25, 2002 – InSystems, a leading provider of e-business solutions for financial services organizations has signed an agreement with Canada Life for additional portal technology that will advance Canada Life’s competitive position among leading insurers web-enabling Group Insurance customers.
Using InSystems eXterity portal software applications, Canada Life will increase functionality for Group Insurance Plan Members and Plan Administrators through the introduction of enriched self-service enrollment and claims capabilities. The first two phases of the initiative, launched in mid-2001, saw the introduction of highly personalized web-based functionality allowing Plan Members to view booklets, claims status and history and Plan Administrators to enroll online and automatically update information.
Phase III of the program will introduce advanced web-based self-service enrollment and administrative functions at the Plan Member level, as well as e-claims submissions and online answers to plan level coverage questions. Canada Life anticipates substantial operational cost
reduction and higher levels of customer satisfaction once Plan Members begin to enroll on the Web.
