Unified Business Services Software Co. Attributes its Leadership in Emerging Space to its Solid Growth
Toronto, Canada September 26, 2002 DWL, the leader in Unified Business Services software, today announced it has been named the second fastest growing technology company according to the 2002 Deloitte and Touche
Canadian Technology Fast 50 program, a ranking of the fastest growing
technology companies in Canada.
DWLs chairman and co-founder, Justin LaFayette, credits the strength of the

management with its impressive revenue growth over the last 5 years.
DWL solidified its commitment to growth in 2001 with the appointment of an
executive team, headed by CEO, John Baumstark, experienced in bringing
emerging technologies to market and growing enterprise software companies.
“DWL is leading an emerging class of services-oriented applications that
enable customer centric operations across an organization,” said Baumstark.
“DWL’s success has depended on delivering mature, proven technology called
Unified Business Services software, a space gaining tremendous momentum in
today’s customer- focused market.
DWL debuted DWL Unifi, an application for real time business processing, in
1996. Since then DWL has focused development efforts on this and its most
robust offering to date, DWL Customer, an enterprise application for
customer management. Of particular interest is DWL’s work with the worlds
largest integrated financial services companies to address customer
management strategies at an enterprise level. DWL has allowed these
companies to achieve a unified customer view with real time customer
information and relevant event-based transactions to better service each
customer through all channels.
DWL has always maintained a strong vision of transforming financial
services organizations into truly customer centric operations,” added
LaFayette. “Today, our vision is being validated by the largest financial
services providers.”
In an era where technology companies come and go, making the Deloitte and
Touche Canadian Fast 50 is a testament to a companys vision that allows
growth over a five year period, said Gary Foster, National Director,
Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Deloitte & Touche. DWL has proven
that its leadership has the right stuff for growth, and we at Deloitte and
Touche salute their accomplishments.
To qualify for the 2002 Deloitte and Touche Canadian Technology Fast 50,
companies 1997 operating revenues had to be at least 75,000 CDN and 2001
operating revenues at least $1 million CDN, be in business for a minimum of
