RBC Insurance sponsors 2002 Advisor of the Year Awards

MISSISSAUGA, July 3, 2002 — RBC Insurance today announced its sponsorship of the 2002 Advisor of the Year Awards. Launched in 1999 by Advisor’s Edge magazine, the program honours outstanding financial advisors for their determination, resourcefulness and dedication to serving clients’ needs.

“Advisors play a key role in planning the financial future of many Canadians, and we wanted to participate in a program that recognizes this excellence,” said John W. Hamilton, vice president, Business Development, of the life insurance division of RBC Insurance. “More and more advisors recognize insurance as an integral part of a complete financial plan and as we work with them to ensure they have the tools and information required to meet their clients’ insurance needs, we witness their dedication to their clients’ overall financial well being.”

The Advisor of the Year competition is open to all financial professionals across Canada who provide advice to their clients as part of their services. Advisors interested in being considered for the award are required to send in their completed entry form along with a detailed case study that illustrates how they created a solid financial plan for their clients. The deadline for submissions is August 16, 2002. Winners will be notified by October 11, 2002.
