TORONTO, May 22, 2002 – Unity Life of Canada is pleased to announce the launch of XpressInsure — a new and innovative on-line service for its insurance distributors and their clients.
Term insurance and critical illness insurance are two of Unity’s most popular personal protection options for Canadians from coast-to-coast. Now, through XpressInsure, Canadian consumers can easily purchase these essential types of insurance simply by answering a brief series of questions on-line and their policy will be sent out within 48 hours!
“Our new Internet fulfilment site is another way in which Unity Life is making it easy for our distributors and their clients to do business with us,” affirms Tony Poole, Unity Life’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “It is our objective to provide innovative financial solutions at competitive prices that deliver real value to our policyholders. We want to ensure the financial security and quality of life of Canadians in markets we know well – and our new on-line system is another example of Unity Life’s supportive culture which seeks to provide our intermediaries with whatever is required to make it attractive and worthwhile to do business with Unity Life, especially in today’s highly competitive and dynamic financial services market.”
The XpressInsure solution was provided by GeniSystems.ca Services Inc., a Business Process Outsourcing specialist for the life insurance industry. XpressInsure features an easy to use interface through which clients can purchase up to $250,000 of Unity Life’s new E-Z Term plan or up to $100,000 of the company’s critical illness plan, Health Security Plus. Additional support within XpressInsure is available via a call centre staffed by experienced customer service associates. Unity Life’s distributors — especially those with a rural client base and those working with affinity groups or mass marketing — have warmly received the on-line application process.
Brokers simply direct their clients to the XpressInsure site at www.unitylife.ca/XpressInsure where the client can apply on their own. If a member of an affinity group partner, the client is directed to a personalized, password protected site for their use. There are no medicals and no fluids required!
“Our distributors are the key to the XpressInsure process and they truly like the simplicity and efficiency of XpressInsure,” says Tony Poole. “It’s another innovative service offering that brokers can take to their clients with the assurance that Unity Life will handle all the details effectively, rapidly and with total confidentiality. We offer peace of mind to our brokers and their clients and XpressInsure allows us to do that in a new and exciting way on the leading edge of client convenience.”
Mike Nurse, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing for GeniSystems.ca Services, states “The creation of XpressInsure for use by carriers such as Unity Life symbolizes our commitment to offer turn-key solutions for new business processing and ongoing policyholder administrative services to our clients.
