Ecclesiastical Launches WebWriter™ Solution for YachtsEcclesiastical Launches WebWriter™ Solution for Yachts

March 31, 2002 (Toronto) – Ecclesiastical Insurance Group has introduced a leading-edge Web-based program from Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) for all forms of personal and commercial watercraft.

Designed specifically for the property and casualty insurance marketplace, ISIs WebWriter™ is a fully secure Internet-based software system that allows for online policy processing, from quoting to binding. Both personal lines and commercial lines platforms are available. The WebWriter solution combines rich features and ease of use with full back-end system integration to lower insurance companys expense ratios, reduce errors and increase customer retention.

Ecclesiastical has been an underwriter of watercraft across Canada since 1981, providing broad insurance coverage for boats ranging from individual yachts to catamarans. It was looking for a way to move its quoting, underwriting and business processes online for the watercraft market.

We demonstrated that WebWriter could be implemented in a short period of time and make a significant impact on Ecclesiasticals watercraft business, says Terry Neilson, president of Insurance Systems Inc. It will help the company post huge gains in productivity for underwriters and brokers.

After careful research and consideration, we selected ISIs WebWriter application because of its efficiency and ease of use, says Stephen Oxley President of Ecclesiastical Insurance. This will allow our underwriters to process policies faster and provide our brokers, and end customers, with top-notch service.

Ecclesiastical launched the WebWriter platform for yacht and watercraft business on a pilot basis in Ontario, and will be expanding across the country.
