QUEBEC CITY, Jan. 28 – The Industrial Alliance Group is
launching a new secure Internet site for Industrial Alliance and Industrial Alliance
Pacific Individual Annuities clients and representatives. With this new website, which is
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, clients will be able to obtain essential
information on their individual savings and retirement plans and will soon be able to
carry out online transactions themselves. For their part, representatives will be able to
use the new website to consult their customer files.
“We are very pleased to present this new website,
which caters both to clients with savings and retirement products as well as the
representatives who serve them,” stated Michel Gauthier, who is Vice-President at
Industrial Alliance. “We are highly confident that users will find the website to be
a sophisticated, dynamic and agile tool”. Gerry Bouwers, who is Vice-President and
General Manager at Industrial Alliance Pacific continued: “Customer service has
always been at the heart of the Industrial Alliance Group’s corporate philosophy and we
feel that this new Internet site constitutes a concrete response to the present-day needs
of both our clients and representatives. This new online service is yet another step in
our continued efforts to ensure high-quality customer services.”
The secure website offers users a number of advantageous
online services. For example, clients can consult their personal accounts and obtain
detailed up-to-the-minute information on their investments, thus allowing them to manage
their financial portfolios more effectively. Representatives can access essential
information contained in their clients’ contracts, which will in turn greatly simplify
their day-to-day business dealings as well as give added value to the services offered to their clients.
In order to protect and ensure the confidentiality of the
personal information contained on the website, users are required to register online via
either the Industrial Alliance website at www.inalco.com or the Industrial Alliance
Pacific website at www.iaplife.com. Clients can then request a user name and password by
clicking on the “Access for our Clients” section. For security reasons, user
name and password information will be sent to clients in a letter rather than in an e-mail message.
Industrial Alliance wishes to ensure that the website is
both dynamic and user-friendly and has therefore put in place a team of specially trained
technicians to assist users with any technical problems that they may experience when
using the site. The Group, who is committed to remaining attentive to client needs, plans
to continue improving the website on an ongoing basis to ensure that it evolves according
to ever-changing user requirements. Several new components are slated to be added over the
coming months, including online modifications to investment instructions, transfer funds,
address changes and hardcopy prints of recent semi-annual investment statements.
“With the recent expansion of our Internet services to
encompass Individual Annuities, the Industrial Alliance Group has taken another step
forward in its development strategy aimed at offering secure and personalized Internet
services to all of its clients in all sectors of activity,” added Mr. Gauthier. Group
Pension clients already have access to a secured Internet site that allows them to perform
transactions and modifications online. In the next few months, these services will be
extended to the Individual Insurance and Group Insurance lines of business. Thus, secured
Internet services will soon be offered in all Industrial Alliance Group company sectors
and accessible by their clientele. Clients will be able to access all of their Group
company products with a single user name and password and conduct online transactions with
regards to their savings and retirement products, individual and group life and health
insurance policies and group retirement-savings plans.
