Toronto, 04 June 2001 – After a successful pilot phase that began in
December 2000 the site is now live for Chubb’s Ontario-based brokers. The rest of the
country will go live by the end of summer 2001.
“@Chubb Canada allows us to deliver improved service
to brokers, and therefore customers, through constant access to up-to-the-minute
information about Chubb, its policies and its clients,” explains Susan Vella, Chubb
Canada’s Vice President, Personal Insurance. “Chubb expands and improves its product offerings so
frequently we need more efficient ways to keep our brokers abreast of the changes.”
Brokers need only a password to access all policies, examine coverage or view payment status.
They also have access to Chubb’s private publishing site detailing the
company’s complete rates, rules, contracts, and underwriting guidelines.
Brokers can also train new salespeople through the Web site rather than sending them
to Toronto for training and a selling tips section helps brokers present Chubb in the best light,
“giving us a one-up in the broker’s office,” says Vella.
@Chubb Canada will answer basic queries now directed to
Chubb’s call centre, where up to 30% of calls were straightforward policy queries
that kept customer service representatives away from revenue-generating tasks such as
revising policies or conducting transactions.
“We’ve evolved our call centre into more of a
personal contact centre,” says Vella. “People today demand better and faster
customer service – our brokers are demanding it of us and our clients are demanding
it of them. @Chubb Canada responds to this demand, and we’re very excited about
additional enhancements already on the drawing board.”
