The Citadel Assurance has announced recent innovations to
its on-line broker support services that have propelled it to the forefront of the
industry in the area of web functionalities.
Using The Citadel’s website, brokers are now able to enter
their protected passwords and gain immediate access to detailed information about their
clients’ Personal Auto, Personal Property and Commercial Auto policies. Because this
on-line information comes directly from The Citadel’s policy, billing and claims systems,
brokers are dealing only with up-to-the-minute information. Other companies offer on-line
users current information only when ‘batch’ updates are completed; The Citadel’s system is
one of a very few that operates in ‘real time.’
The purpose of enhancing The Citadel’s website
functionalities is to provide the broadest possible range of broker supports and services.
Says Malcolm Scott, Executive VP of Corporate Services and
CFO, “Recognizing that the vast majority of brokers now prefer to maintain contact
and access information on-line, we have developed a state-of-the-art website that offers
the best services in the industry.”
Brokers using The Citadel website are not only able to
access detailed information regarding claims, policies and billing, but are also guided
through a step-by-step process that enables them to create and post electronic business
cards that look and function like web pages. Broker e-cards are then linked in the Broker
Locator section of the website to make them accessible to potential customers – all at no
cost to the broker. Brokers will continue to have access on the site to underwriting
manuals, rate information, company news and bulletins.
The Citadel Assurance has a strong commitment to customer
service and fully supports the independent broker network, providing them with tools and
technological advantages necessary to serve their clients more efficiently.
The Citadel is dedicated to providing Canadians with
worry-free insurance coverage to protect their businesses, their properties, and their
group accident and sickness needs.
The Citadel’s roots reach back to 1917. Today The
Citadel is a member of The Winterthur Swiss Insurance Group (WSI). WSI is the insurance
arm of the Credit Suisse Group – one of the largest financial services groups in the world
with assets of approximately $1,100 billion ($Cdn.).
