Telematics – the use of telecommunications to transmit information about vehicle usage – has been making the news a fair bit in the insurance industry as a new adjunct to auto underwriting. Some US and UK insurers have been promoting it heavily; we would appreciate your thoughts on telematics with respect to the insurance industry in Canada.
