Insurance-Canada.ca Seminar Integrated P&C Insurance Distribution in the Broker Channel Wednesday February 16, 2005 Hosted by Insurance Canada
the premier Internet reference site for insurance in Canada
Distribution, once the purview of sales and marketing, is now a key component of all facets of insurance. Technology is allowing for greater efficiency and flexibility in thriving in the changing universe of insurance distribution. Personal and Commercial insurance customers may now choose their preferred method of buying insurance. Whether it be traditional agent and broker channels, or through call centres or the Internet, most forms of insurance are now available to suit the consumer's preference. An increasing number of carriers and intermediary organizations are concluding that they must support multiple distribution systems. Insurance professionals must understand the preferences of their target markets and supply products with the appropriate technology support. No longer can an underwriting organization assume that sales and marketing will handle the distribution. Increasingly, insurance products are being developed with the distribution mechanisms highlighted as a key feature. As with any feature, the distribution must be capable of morphing to meet changing market needs. This seminar will highlight the changing preferences of consumers and the distribution technologies that allow for flexible, yet efficient distribution of products and services. Leading information systems suppliers are recognizing that flexible integration is a key element in the requirements of sophisticated users. This seminar offers 3.5 Continuing Education Credits for RIBO (Management category) Topics and Speakers Here is an overview of the agenda for the day with more detail on topic and speaker information available. 8:00 8:30: Registration and Coffee
