The insurance policy is the core deliverable for underwriters, and forms the basis for subsequent relationships among clients, brokers, insurers, and third parties. While many elements of insurance processes have been altered by technologies such as the Internet, basic policy production and information storage remains a paper intensive exercise. Scanning, imaging and workflow solutions have been available for some time, however, the cure is sometimes more painful than the curse, replacing unorganized paper files with un-locateable electronic ones. Leading technology suppliers are now bringing forward integrated offerings, which seamlessly link data and document systems, promising better access to information and easier control of workflow, as well as reductions in physical documents. In some cases, intelligent implementations have delivered a true paperless environment. This seminar focuses on current trends in policy document management and production systems and the important inter-relationships with administration systems. Specific topics will include:

Seminar Details: The session will be facilitated by Patrick Vice Frank Cowan Company Ltd., insurance professional with extensive experience using the Internet for insurance business. This half day session will be held Thursday May 20, 2004. Registration (with coffee) will start at 8:00. The session will begin promptly at 8:30 and conclude about 12:30.
