Claims represent the value point of insurance. With the decline in investment income reducing top line revenue, an increasing number of insurers are focusing on improvement in claims costs and loss adjustment expenses to improve bottom line results. An over-arching concern is the present and potential impact of long-term liabilities - in automobile and general liability exposures. As a result, the work of claims professionals has never been more critical, more demanding, and more dependent on technology. Technology and access to information has been a mixed blessing for claims professionals in this light. On the one hand, there are numerous technologies available to assist practitioners. However, technology has also enabled the increase in consumer expectations for speed and ease of access. Day-to-day demands to adjust and settle claims allow insurance professionals little time to reflect on options for supporting technology and receive direct information on the value of different approaches. This half day seminar will provide focused information from both practitioners and suppliers on such areas as:
