from Doug:
Each September our Toronto Cabbagetown community has a Festival, beginning Friday and running through Sunday evening. As there are crowds of people, many residents have lawn or garage sales, or make the space available to others. We have used this opportunity these last two years to reduce our household effects - all those things which had accummulated for years because we just didn't decide to part with them then, and because space was available. The weather was great, the crowds not as large as in past years, but we did unload most of the things. A success - less to clean, less to dump later. One more step down life's journey.
