from Doug:

Wonderful Spring weather last week - more like mid-May - brought our first crocus to bloom. The cooler and wetter weather since has brought us back to mid-April reality, although it is still March. Must be global warming.
The down-sizing must be working. More of our hardwood floors are exposed and more collected "stuff" has gone out the door; now it echoes in almost every room. I am getting downright ruthless in some of my decisions about what to keep and what goes. Those things that someone might find useful go in a box at the end of the driveway - the passersby keep it almost empty.
