This section discusses the impact that evolving computing and communicating technologies, especially as represented by the Internet and the evolution towards e-business, are having on Insurance in Canada, from history through current status towards future directions. It will help you better understand and appreciate the opportunities these technology changes present for improved timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Here then some of the new tools, solutions, services, and technologies which are being deployed in this pursuit of improved insurance business success. This information will often have some Internet relevance - most things seem to do so these days. However that is not a prerequisite to being included in this section. We try to include mostly things which are directly relevant to Canada, or which we believe will likely become useful here.
